Britta Stenmanns
Britta Stenmanns was born in Germany and lives now with her partner and their two children in Australia. She studied Grafic-Design in Duesseldorf and finished a three years apprenticeship in Bavaria (Berchtesgaden) in woodcarving with a certificate.
She set up studio for 4 month in London and for several years in Madrid and Deia (Spain) and studied painting until 1994 at the School of Fine Arts in Bremen, Germany, finishing with a Diploma and a graduation certificate.
Before she came to live in Australia, she spent one year of postgraduate studies in painting and print-making at the Academia San Carlos, Mexico-City.
In 2007 she took part in Sculpture by the Sea,Bondi.
Britta Stenmanns had 7 solo exhibitions and numerous group exhibitions in Germany, Spain, Mexico,France, Poland, Belgium and Australia. Her work is represented in various Private Collections in Spain (George Sheridan Collection La Resedencia), Poland (City of Glogow), Germany (City of Bremen), Australia and USA.
